BBNaija star Boma reveals his marriage plans collapsed after his partner’s family rejected him.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Boma Akpore has recounted how his plans to marry his partner abruptly ended after her family rejected him.

The revelation was made during a recent interview on the WithChude podcast.

Boma, who was preparing to propose, said he intended to travel to the United States last August to purchase an engagement ring, signalling his serious intentions.

However, his partner’s family opposed the union, abruptly ending what he described as an “amazing relationship.”

“I met someone I really liked and I was going to marry. I was supposed to be engaging her last August. I was going to go to America, get the ring and bring it back because I liked her and I told her I was going to marry her. It was an amazing relationship — yes, with normal ups and downs — but I thought it was perfect. Then the family got involved and said, ‘This guy? Hell no, impossible,’” Boma said.

He added that the collapse of his relationship was the ultimate price of being a public figure. “If I wasn’t in entertainment or in the public eye, nobody would know some things about me.

Once you come into the public, that is the price you pay,” he explained.
