Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has voiced concerns over threats to his life, amid an escalating feud with fellow artist Odumodublvck. He reassured fans of his legacy.
Blaqbonez life threats have become a significant concern for the Nigerian rapper as he recently claimed his life is being threatened by unnamed individuals.
The artist made this alarming disclosure in a post on X, responding to a fan who expressed worry after he stated he would not spend 15 years in the music industry despite being just 29.
Blaqbonez sought to reassure his followers, claiming he has already recorded three albums. He did this to ensure his legacy lives on even in the event of his death.
The concerned fan, with the handle @LfCPraise, had written, “I no understand, no kpai o. Abeg.” In his reply, the rapper stated, “Them say them go kill me, but I don record enough for 3 more albums, no fear, because rap actually hard for some people.”
This concerning exchange unfolded amidst a fierce and escalating beef between Blaqbonez and fellow rapper Odumodublvck.
The conflict intensified on Sunday, with both artists launching direct and personal attacks.
Days earlier, the dispute began when Blaqbonez dissed Odumodublvck in his latest song with A Q, ‘Who’s Really Rapping.’ Initially, the two rappers threw indirect shade at each other on X.
The best way to appreciate your job is to imagine yourself without one.
However, the situation quickly escalated after Odumodublvck directly responded to a tweet from Blaqbonez suggesting rap was difficult for certain artists.
Odumodublvck countered Blaqbonez, asserting that if rap truly presented a challenge for him, Blaqbonez’s most recent hit would not have been a collaboration featuring him.
He provocatively claimed, “I’m everything you want to be, nigga.
Your spirit is weak.” In response, Blaqbonez challenged Odumodublvck to enter the studio and reply to his diss track through bars, urging him to cease fighting on social media.
He wrote, “Enter studio and get TF out my mentions. This no be Twitter warfare. And stop calling the whole industry crying about me. No be so Kendrick Lamar dey do. Hip hop legacy.”
Odumodublvck, however, maintained that his beef with Blaqbonez extends beyond the studio, stressing it is “not a rap beef” and adding, “Na me and you for street. You know the level. We go meet again for street. This is not a rap beef. Na me and you for this world.”
