The actress, popularly known as Omoborty, disclosed that she stopped attending social events, sold some of her gold jewellery and endured emotional struggles to ensure her son completed his studies at Concordia University of Edmonton.

The revelation came days after Okeowo celebrated her son’s graduation, describing the achievement as the reward for years of sacrifice, faith and perseverance.

Reflecting on the journey, Okeowo said every late night, every bill she paid alone and every difficult decision she made as a single parent had finally paid off.

The actress explained that she deliberately reduced her social engagements because nearly all her income was committed to tuition payments and other educational expenses.
