“She is such an amazing person. To be honest, it still feels like a dream,” Starr said. “People always say, ‘never meet your idols’, but I’m so glad I met mine because she’s just an amazing person.”

Starr recalled her excitement when Rihanna told her she enjoyed her music. The moment was surreal for the singer, who called it her favourite experience so far in her career.

“I’m my favourite artist’s favourite artist,” she said proudly. “She’s an amazing artist, an amazing woman, an amazing person in general—somebody to look up to.”

According to Starr, the encounter strengthened her belief that she chose the right musical inspiration. She admitted feeling nervous around the billionaire singer and often resorting to “unnecessary jokes” just to manage her excitement.
