Solade criticized the expectation that attending church should come before fulfilling work responsibilities.

Recalling an incident in 2013, Solade said he was advised by pastors to tell producers not to call him for work on Sundays—a demand he vehemently opposed. “I cursed those pastors,” he admitted.

Solade explained that this rigid mindset, which assumes missing church means misfortune, has never produced meaningful change in his life.

He emphasized the importance of earning a living and questioned the biblical basis for mandating Sunday attendance. “You’re telling me not to leave my house and go to where my chop is,” Solade remarked, highlighting how work provides sustenance and peace for him.

Solade also shared a personal story about an artisan who prioritized church over completing paid work.

He bluntly addressed the artisan, pointing out that the money used for church donations was earned through his own hard work and that neglecting business for religious duties affects others’ livelihoods as well.
