VeryDarkMan Ratel Movement announces monthly nationwide community service to tackle environmental issues and promote patriotism in Nigeria.

The Ratel Movement VeryDarkMan started is set to make a powerful shift from online activism to real-world impact with a new nationwide community service initiative.

The controversial social media critic and activist, Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as VDM, revealed plans for the programme in a viral video posted on his Facebook page.

The movement’s community service will kick off on Saturday, November 29, 2025, and is planned to run monthly.

VDM emphasised that the effort aims to address Nigeria’s environmental challenges while fostering patriotism and civic responsibility among the country’s youth.

“Starting from the 29th of November, 2025, which will be on a Saturday, we the Ratel Movement are taking over Nigeria.

We are shutting down this country. That being said, we are not shutting down in terms of violence, we are shutting it down in terms of impact,” VDM declared.

The initiative will involve activities such as sanitisation of public spaces, clearing drainages, rehabilitating school facilities, and other grassroots community services across Nigeria.

This hands-on approach marks a significant departure from the usual social media activism that VDM and his followers have been known for.

“We are going to start what has never been seen before in Nigeria.

We are moving from just being on social media claiming to be Ratels to presenting ourselves in real life and impacting our society,” VDM added.

The Ratel Movement’s ambitious plan is already drawing attention nationwide, promising to mobilise Nigerian youths towards positive change.
