VeryDarkMan slams Soso Soberekon’s ₦100M boxing offer, demands $1M to fight Portable. Calls proposal disrespectful, citing past $100K rejection to fight 50 Cent

The VeryDarkMan boxing offer saga has stirred controversy on social media as activist and influencer VeryDarkMan called out music executive Soso Soberekon for what he described as a “disrespectful” proposal.

Soso had offered ₦120 million for a celebrity boxing match between VeryDarkMan and singer Portable, amid ongoing online hostilities between the two.

But VeryDarkMan, in a video posted on Instagram Sunday evening, flatly rejected the offer, stating it did not reflect his worth.

He revealed he previously turned down $100,000 for a proposed boxing match with American rapper 50 Cent in 2024, insisting on a $1 million payout if he were to face the star.

“If 50 Cent was asking for $5 million, I asked for $1 million. I know my value,” he said.

Firing back at Soso, he added, “₦100 million can’t even buy a good house in Abuja. Don’t insult me. If you want to talk, bring $500,000 upfront before I sit to discuss balance.”
