The foundation confirmed that the event will take place on Saturday at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, bringing together key political leaders and public intellectuals.

President Bola Tinubu is expected as Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony.

The book unveiling stands as a major highlight of the memorial, reflecting Braithwaite’s enduring impact as a lawyer, social justice advocate and politician.

Written by journalist and Public Relations consultant Muyiwa Akintunde, the work presents a compelling account of Braithwaite’s lifelong defence of justice and human rights.

It explores his belief that rights and privileges should extend beyond the elite to ordinary citizens.

The publication also documents his fearless advocacy for the oppressed, even in the face of adversity.

Akintunde described the book as a tribute to a man whose unwavering commitment to justice defined his legacy.

Professor Anthony Kila, Director at the Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies, will review the book at the event.

Themed “Politics with Conscience: Leadership, Responsibility, and the Nigerian Social Contract,” the memorial reflects the ideals Braithwaite championed throughout his life.

Former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande, will chair the event, while Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will serve as Chief Host.
