Slimcase issues public apology to LAWMA for using their uniform and truck in a skit, stressing respect for the authority and removing the video

Lagos, Nigeria Skitmaker Oluwafemi Oladipo, popularly known as Slimcase, has issued a public apology to the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) for using their official uniform and a waste truck in a skit video without approval.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Slimcase explained that the skit was intended to celebrate the dignity of labour, highlighting the importance of waste management and other professions.

“The content was my idea and I removed the video from all platforms on 8 December 2025 as soon as concerns were raised. It was not intended to ridicule, misrepresent, embarrass, or demean LAWMA, its officers, staff, partners, or the Lagos State Government,” he stated.

Slimcase also reassured the public that LAWMA did not endorse or participate in the video, and confirmed that no adapted versions are in circulation.

He expressed respect for LAWMA’s crucial role in keeping Lagos clean and pledged to exercise greater caution in future creative projects.
