President of the Association of Voice Over Artistes, Segun Arinze, led members of the executive committee on an official visit to Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, Dr Lekan Fadolapo, in Lagos, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration within the creative industry.

The meeting, disclosed via the association’s official social media platform, brought together key stakeholders to discuss emerging trends and regulatory developments affecting Nigeria’s voice-over sector.

Segun Arinze Leads AVOA Delegation to ARCON Visiting focused on critical issues including artificial intelligence, intellectual property rights, digital advertising compliance and the future of voice-over practice in the country.

Participants also examined strategies for nurturing young talents and ensuring that industry standards keep pace with rapid technological advancements shaping media and advertising.

The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, the statutory body responsible for overseeing advertising practices, plays a central role in ensuring that content meets established legal and ethical standards.

Segun Arinze, a veteran actor and broadcaster, was re-elected as president of the association in May 2025, continuing a leadership tenure that began in 2021 and has emphasised professional development and industry advocacy.

The visit was described by the association as insightful, reflecting a growing push for structured dialogue between practitioners and regulators in an increasingly dynamic creative landscape.

The Association of Voice Over Artistes, which represents professionals across the industry, has continued to champion training initiatives and policy engagement as part of efforts to build a more sustainable and globally competitive sector.
