Samuel Banks reveals how he met Wahab Okoya for a content collaboration and discovered his prominent family background through social media comments.

Nigerian content creator Samuel Banks has revealed that he was unaware of Wahab Okoya’s family background when they first connected for a content collaboration.

Banks explained that Okoya contacted him through a text message and invited him to his residence to work on a content project. According to him, he accepted the invitation without knowing that Okoya belonged to a prominent Nigerian family.

The revelation came after their collaborative video was shared on social media, where several users began mentioning the name “Eleganza” in the comments.

Recounting the experience, Banks said the repeated references to Eleganza caught his attention and left him curious about the connection.

He subsequently asked his mother about the family after noticing the comments beneath the video.

“Wahab Okoya texted me that we should create content together at his house. I didn’t know he came from a well-known family. After I posted our clip, people started commenting ‘Eleganza.’ I had to ask my mum who they were,” he said.

His account suggests that he only became aware of the family’s public recognition after the video attracted reactions from social media users.

The experience highlights how a routine collaboration introduced Banks to a family name familiar to many Nigerians.

Rather than learning about Okoya’s background before their meeting, Banks said it was the audience’s response to their content that prompted him to seek more information.
