Paul Okoye criticizes Gen Z for constant comparison culture, warning it causes unnecessary pressure and mental strain among young people.

Veteran singer Paul Okoye has taken a sharp jab at the younger generation, accusing Gen Z of being overly consumed with comparing themselves to others.

On his Instagram page, the musician expressed frustration at what he called a “poor mentality” fueling this obsession.

“Aiswear this generation na mad people full am. Haba!! Everything na comparison, class, maturity, blah blah blah,” Paul Okoye wrote angrily. “And na mumu go still listen to these poor mentality ponchos, then come go put themselves under pressure. Like wtf.”

Okoye’s blunt message highlights the dangers of constantly measuring oneself against others, especially in a generation where social media often amplifies feelings of inadequacy and competition.

He cautioned young people against succumbing to the pressure that comes with such comparisons, urging them to avoid putting unnecessary stress on themselves.

The statement adds to a series of recent outspoken moments from the singer, who has been vocal on social media about family matters, industry pressures, and social issues.
