Nigerian actress Osas Ighodaro has taken a bold step into international entertainment with a leading role in a new cross-cultural microdrama series titled Imported Bahu, a collaboration between the Nigerian and Bollywood film industries.

The series is scheduled to premiere on July 2, 2026, exclusively on LebaraPlay, a telecom-backed streaming platform focusing on vertical microdramas.

In a promotional post announcing the trailer, executive producer Hamisha Daryani Ahuja described the project as a fusion of storytelling cultures designed to introduce audiences to a new digital viewing format.

“For months, we’ve been keeping a secret. Today, we’re finally sharing it. Introducing Imported Bahu… a story of love, family, secrets, and one Imported Bahu who turns everything upside down,” she said.

The announcement quickly sparked reactions across social media, with fans and entertainment figures celebrating Osas Ighodaro’s expanding international footprint.

Many users praised her versatility and ability to adapt to diverse roles, while others expressed surprise and excitement at the Nigeria–Bollywood collaboration.
