In a revealing interview with Adesope Live, Olamide described the Afrobeats “Big 3” as friends who are “just too troublesome.”

The YBNL boss described the trio as “cool dudes” but admitted that their differences sometimes create friction. “Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy are all my friends, they are just too troublesome.

They are cool dudes; it’s just that sometimes many can’t align on so many things and that’s fine,” he said.

Olamide also touched on the popular debate around the Afrobeats Big 3, which typically refers to Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

Despite often being excluded from the list, the ‘Baddest Guy Ever Liveth’ star revealed he isn’t concerned about the ranking, choosing instead to focus on his music.

In a previous chat with YouTuber Korty EO, Olamide explained that running a record label is easier for him than being an artist.

Drawing on his own experiences, he highlighted how his work as a musician gives him a unique understanding of the creative process and challenges artists face.

“It’s way much easier for me being a music executive than an artiste because I’m an artiste, so I understand the needs of creatives,” he explained. “I know when we are in our element, when we want to run mad, when we’re getting high on our own supply, or high on fame, life, money, and success. So it’s easier for me to deal with creatives. I try not to bite more than I can chew.”
