The rally, held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, was organised to mobilise and connect 10 million Nigerian women through a platform focused on strengthening political, economic and social participation ahead of the 2027 general election.

Addressing participants, Salako-Oyedele said women across the country were already contributing significantly in different sectors but required stronger networks and coordination to expand their collective influence.

“From the woman in Kano running her trade, to the farmer in Benue, to the entrepreneur in Lagos, women are already working. The challenge has not been capacity, it has been connection,” she said.

The Ogun deputy governor stated that the true strength of the movement would not rest on numbers alone, but on organisation, shared purpose and sustained engagement.

According to Salako-Oyedele, millions of informed and united women could become a powerful force in shaping governance, economic inclusion and community development across Nigeria.

She also pledged to work closely with other women leaders to ensure grassroots voices are represented at the highest levels of decision-making.

Also speaking at the summit, Chioma Hope Uzodimma described the initiative as a practical platform for identifying and integrating women into a broader national framework.

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, told participants that women have the capacity to help move Nigeria towards a greater future, noting that the Renewed Hope Agenda supports inclusion and stronger female participation in governance.
