Actress Nancy Isime celebrates her 34th birthday by commissioning a playground at Methodist Primary School, Ikorodu, Lagos, promoting outdoor play, creativity, and reduced screen time for children

Actress Nancy Isime marked her 34th birthday with a meaningful act of giving back to the community, commissioning a new playground at Methodist Primary School in Ikorodu, Lagos.

Celebrating the milestone with students and staff, Isime emphasised the importance of outdoor play and creativity for children.

In an Instagram video, she shared fond memories of reading and playing as a child, highlighting the benefits of reducing screen time and encouraging physical activity.

She wrote, “And so we commissioned another play area in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Now let the fun playtimes begin. My favourite part of my birthday parties at schools is when we get to commission a library or play area. As a child, reading and playing were my absolute favourite things to do, and you’d definitely find me in the play area, swinging and sliding my young stress away. I truly believe that it’s essential for children to have less screen time and more time outside, playing and creating.”
