MC Oluomo Debunks Fake Peter Obi Photo Claims
MC Oluomo and Peter Obi photo labelled fake as NURTW boss denies ever meeting the former governor, reaffirming loyalty to Tinubu ahead of 2027 election.
The photo of MC Oluomo and Peter Obi has stirred political speculation online after a doctored image showing the two men together began circulating ahead of the 2027 general election.

Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo and serving as the national president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), has now issued a firm denial.
In a statement released on Tuesday, 23 September 2025, he refuted claims that he had met with former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi.
“I have taken notice of a manipulated image and false news report circulating on social media, particularly in the northern part of Nigeria,” Oluomo said, referencing the now-viral photo allegedly showing the two men in the same frame.
He went on to clarify that no meeting or communication occurred between himself and Peter Obi, branding the claims as “entirely false” and lacking any credibility.
Oluomo added that several fact-checking platforms and blogs had already exposed the photo as digitally altered.
“There is no evidence of any meeting or congratulatory message from Peter Obi to me,” he continued, dismissing online reports suggesting political alignment between the pair.
Oluomo, who stated he is currently out of the country, reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I urge the public to disregard this false news and rely on credible sources. I reaffirm my support for His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Hope Agenda,”he added.
As a long-time loyalist of President Tinubu, MC Oluomo has previously made headlines for endorsing Tinubu’s son, Seyi, for a potential gubernatorial run in Lagos State.
His latest remarks come amid growing political manoeuvres as Nigeria looks ahead to the 2027 general elections.
