Nigerian filmmaker and actress Omoni Oboli has celebrated the Love in Every Word anniversary, marking one year since the romantic drama premiered online and captivated millions of viewers worldwide.

Oboli announced the milestone late Monday through a post on her Instagram page, sharing a promotional poster of the film and thanking fans for their continued support.

“Besties, it has been one year. One year of God’s grace and your incredible love for Love in Every Word, the movie that shifted culture and captivated hearts around the world,” Oboli wrote.

The filmmaker noted that the film has now surpassed 32 million views on her official YouTube channel, describing the response from audiences as powerful and enduring.

The romantic drama premiered on YouTube on March 7, 2025 as a digital-first release and quickly gained traction.

Within its first 24 hours, the film attracted more than two million views and crossed the 11-million mark within its first week.

The Love in Every Word anniversary also comes after the film briefly faced a copyright dispute that led to its temporary removal from YouTube.

The movie was later restored to the platform, allowing it to continue gaining views.

Written by Mfon-Abasi Michael Inyang and produced by Omoni Oboli, the story follows the relationship between Chioma and Odogwu as they navigate love, cultural expectations and personal growth.

The film features Bamike “Bam Bam” Olawunmi-Adenibuyan as Chioma and Uzor Arukwe as Odogwu, alongside supporting performances from Amanda Iriekpen, Thelma Chukwunwen, Susan Jimah, Osereme Inegbenebor and Daniel Rocky Obiora.

Oboli used the anniversary message to recognise the cast and crew who contributed to the film’s production.

“Thank you to our amazing cast and crew who made this story possible. And thank you besties for watching, sharing and carrying this film so far,” the filmmaker wrote.

The success of the original film led to the release of a sequel, Love in Every Word: The Wedding, in late 2025.
