The incident occurred early Thursday morning. Clearwater Police Department confirmed that emergency services responded to a 911 call placed at 9:51 a.m., reporting a cardiac emergency at Hogan’s residence.

He was rushed to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Hogan’s longtime manager, Linda Bose, confirmed the heartbreaking news to Newsweek.

“Unfortunately we must confirm that Terry Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan, passed away this morning. We are heartbroken. He was such a great human being and friend,” Bose said in a statement.

The iconic wrestling superstar had recently been recovering from neck surgery performed in May and was reportedly in a fragile state, though his wife Sky Daily Hogan had publicly denied recent rumors suggesting he was in a coma or near death. She had previously insisted his heart was “strong.”

Known for his signature “Hulkamania” persona, yellow bandanas, and larger-than-life charisma, Hogan transcended wrestling, appearing in movies, commercials, and pop culture for decades.

He headlined numerous WrestleMania events and held multiple world championship titles during his storied career, battling legendary opponents like Andre the Giant, The Ultimate Warrior, and Ric Flair.

His popularity helped define the “Golden Era” of pro wrestling and led to the formation of the villainous NWO (New World Order) in WCW, one of the most influential factions in wrestling history.
