Globacom, one of Nigeria’s top technology providers, announced the launch of its new Device Protection service in partnership with Cubecover.

The service allows both new and existing Glo subscribers to insure their devices against screen and water damage for as little as ₦50 per day.

Mojeed Aluko, Head of Value Added Services at Globacom, explained that customers can choose daily, weekly or monthly packages.

“As a responsive and innovative network, we are leveraging this opportunity to provide meaningful protection to our customers,” he said.

After payment, subscribers receive a link to perform a simple screen integrity test. Once passed, the device’s IMEI is registered, confirming its eligibility for up to ₦50,000 in screen repair cover after one month of active use.

Cubecover’s Managing Director, Deji Macaulay, praised the service’s simplicity.

“The device protection service is unique because of its simple enrolment process via mobile phones and its affordable micro-premiums,” he said.

To subscribe, Glo users dial 70131# and select a plan. The amount is deducted from their airtime. New users can visit any Gloworld shop to get a SIM, choose a device and activate protection instantly.
