Gingerrr, directed by Yemi Morafa and supported by executive producers Bolaji Ogunmola, Kiekie, and Bisola Aiyeola, launched with a strong N82.8 million in its opening weekend.

Its cumulative earnings have now reached N435.5 million, making it one of the highest-grossing Nigerian films of 2025.

The movie’s vibrant cast, including Bisola Aiyeola, Bimbo Ademoye, and Timini Egbuson, alongside its action-comedy blend, resonated with younger audiences and boosted attendance, particularly on Cinema Day, which saw a 5% increase compared to 2024.

Meanwhile, The Herd, directed by Etim-Effiong and co-produced by FilmOne Studios, ToriTori Films, Serendipity HHC, and Airscape, has grossed N137.7 million since its release on October 17.

The film explores themes of love, family, and generational change, blending psychological tension with social commentary.

Its strong box office run makes it the third Nollywood film, after King of Boys and Brotherhood, to post consecutive weekend-on-weekend growth outside the typical December release window.

Other films also contributed to the box office momentum. Trons: Ares added N13.8 million in its third week (totaling N107.7 million), Idia earned N7.4 million in its second week, Regretting You opened with N4.4 million, and Blackphone 2 reached N23.8 million in its second week.
