General Asabuja slams Obi Cubana and Cubana Chief Priest over their public association with Seyi Tinubu, questioning the president’s son’s role

Former Niger Delta militant leader General Asabuja on Monday criticised Nigerian businessman Obi Cubana and nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest over their recent public association with Seyi Tinubu, questioning the political relevance of the president’s son.

General Asabuja made the remarks in a video that has gone viral across social media platforms, where the former militant leader openly challenged the role of Seyi Tinubu in Nigeria’s political space.

Speaking in the clip, General Asabuja asked what official position the president’s son occupies, stressing that Seyi Tinubu is not an elected office holder.

The militant leader also criticised Obi Cubana and Cubana Chief Priest for publicly welcoming and supporting the president’s son during recent appearances and engagements.

According to General Asabuja, public figures in the entertainment and business sectors should exercise caution when aligning themselves with political personalities, warning that such actions could be perceived as attempts to gain favour or financial advantage.

General Asabuja referenced activist and politician Omoyele Sowore, who recently protested in Abia State demanding the release of detained separatist leader Nnamdi Kanu.

The former militant leader contrasted the protest with what the militant described as misplaced priorities among certain celebrities who publicly welcomed the president’s son despite the absence of any formal government position.

General Asabuja further accused some high-profile figures of shifting between entertainment, politics and business sectors mainly to secure financial opportunities.
