Idemudia, a prominent Nollywood figure known for her energetic performances and social media presence, described the removal as “painful” and unfair, stating that the project represented years of dreaming, months of work, and countless sleepless nights.

The actress questioned the motives of the complainant, identified only as “Diamond Films”, and emphasised that the film was entirely her creation.

“I just got the most painful notification ever. My film — Secret Keeper that I poured my ideas, my money, time, and sweat, and every piece of my heart into — was unfairly taken down by someone who has no right to claim it,” she wrote.

Idemudia vowed to fight for the film’s reinstatement and thanked supporters for their encouragement.

She noted that the backing of fans who had watched, shared, and alerted her to the removal had provided strength amid the emotional setback.

Industry observers highlighted that YouTube copyright disputes are increasingly common in Nollywood, where independent filmmakers often face challenges protecting their intellectual property.

Etinosa’s candid response underscores both the emotional toll and the determination of creators navigating these disputes.

The actress concluded her post with a message of resilience: “This isn’t the end. I’m fighting to get our movie back. No matter how hard this gets, I won’t stop. This film will come back, so help me God.”
