Enioluwa Adeoluwa essay competition Ekiti launched with ₦3m prize fund for public secondary school students in Ekiti State

Social media influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa on Monday announced a ₦3 million essay competition targeted at students in public secondary schools across Ekiti State, as part of a new literacy-driven initiative.

Ekiti State essay contest by Enioluwa Adeoluwa project was unveiled on his X page as the “Professor Femi Adeoluwa Essay Prize,” an educational programme designed to promote critical thinking and writing skills among young learners.

The competition, organised in partnership with Eni’s Book Club, carries the theme “education beyond the classroom: what should young people be taught that schools currently ignore.”

According to the announcement, the first-place winner will receive ₦1,500,000, while the second and third positions will receive ₦1,000,000 and ₦500,000 respectively.

Enioluwa said the initiative is being taken directly to public secondary schools across the state as part of efforts to deepen educational engagement at grassroots level.

He described the project as a tribute to his father, Professor Femi Adeoluwa, and emphasised its focus on expanding learning beyond traditional classroom boundaries.

Details regarding the commencement date and submission process were not included in the initial announcement.

The initiative adds to Enioluwa’s growing involvement in literacy advocacy, following previous discussions about his family’s contributions to education development in Ekiti State.
