DJ Neptune made the remarks while reacting to a similar view expressed by media personality N6 on X, where N6 suggested that AI is quietly positioning itself to disrupt the entire music production and mastering ecosystem.

In his response, DJ Neptune recounted a recent experience in which he listened to a song sent to him for review and was impressed by what he initially believed was a human artiste.

According to him, the quality of the record was so remarkable that he advised the sender to sign the performer, only to later discover that the track had been generated using AI.

The revelation, he said, came as a surprise and underscored how advanced AI tools have become in replicating human-like musical output.

DJ Neptune’s comments align with growing industry conversations around the increasing use of AI in music creation.

Across the global music landscape, both emerging and established artists, alongside producers and sound engineers, are incorporating AI-driven tools to enhance beats, sound design and vocal processing.

The Recording Academy has also adapted its policies, allowing works that include AI components to qualify for Grammy consideration, provided there is sufficient human contribution in the creative process.
