According to Cuppy, observing his investment decisions has changed how she views business, particularly the importance of creating value beyond making money.

“Whenever Mr Femi Otedola comes to London, I MUST pick his brain! Why do I think it’s important to understand how my dad thinks? Tbh, I wish I had his brain. Genius!” she wrote.

Cuppy said watching her father grow his investment in First HoldCo Plc had taught her that successful business goes beyond financial returns.

She explained that his approach had helped her appreciate the role of value creation in building sustainable businesses and contributing to the wider economy.

The DJ also praised Otedola’s confidence in his investment decisions, highlighting his willingness to commit substantial personal funds to shares.

“What fascinates me even more is his confidence. He’s invested over $450 million of his own money in shares. Now that’s putting your money where your mouth is,” she said.
