Ayra Starr Latin Diamond certification has made history in the global music scene, establishing her as the first African artist to receive the prestigious honour from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The Nigerian singer earned the certification for her 2024 international collaboration, Santa, featuring Rvssian and Rauw Alejandro.

The track has surpassed 35 million streams, pushing it into the Latin Diamond league—a rare feat for any African act.

This recognition places Ayra Starr in the ranks of global icons and alongside Rema, who holds a Latin Platinum certification, further signalling the growing influence of Afrobeats in new markets.

At just 23, Ayra Starr has consistently pushed boundaries.
