Asake extends his record with 60 Billboard U.S. Afrobeats entries as ‘Jogodo’ with Wizkid peaks at number four, marking another milestone in his career

Nigerian singer Asake has extended his record as the artiste with the most entries in Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart history, hitting 60 entries with his collaborative track Jogodo featuring Wizkid, which peaked at number four this week.

Meanwhile, South African singer Tyla continued her dominance on the chart as her song Channel retained the number-one spot.

Tyla was named the top Afrobeats artist for 2025, and her earlier hit Water set the record for the longest-running number-one song, remaining at the top for 55 weeks.

In related news, Nigerian singer Burna Boy earned his first top-20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with his feature on Gunna’s track WGFT, which reached number 16 following a remix featuring Chris Brown.

Burna Boy also achieved a historic milestone as the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 in five consecutive years, spanning 2021 to 2025.
