Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has said that she would only consider marrying a God-fearing man, explaining that faith plays a crucial role in sustaining long-term relationships.

Speaking in an interview with media personality Angie Martinez, the Grammy Award-winning artist outlined her perspective on marriage, describing it as a commitment that requires accountability, growth and resilience.

“My partner has to be a God-fearing man,” Tems said.

“Because why would you truly love me if you don’t have anyone that you answer to?”
