Scorpion Kings Live Adds Davido For African Music Festival

Scorpion Kings Live announces Davido as final addition to star-studded lineup, promising a historic African music festival with tributes and genre-spanning performances

Scorpion Kings Live has added African megastar Davido as the final headliner for their much-anticipated festival, marking a historic moment for African music.

The announcement came after weeks of teasing a star-studded lineup through the “Meet Our Friends” series. Davido, the multi-award-winning Afrobeats icon, will perform his global hits for thousands of fans at Loftus Versfeld.

“Davido is family. Having him with us makes this a truly continental moment,” said DJ Maphorisa. Kabza De Small added, “We’ve built this lineup to be history-making and Davido is the perfect final piece.”

The festival also pays tribute to South African legend Caiphus Semenya, with the Scorpion Kings creating a special remix blending his timeless work with contemporary Amapiano beats.

The main stage will host a genre-spanning roster of stars, including Ami Faku, Aymos, Bontle Smith, Cassper Nyovest, Daliwonga, Davido, Focalistic, Kamo Mphela, Kwesta, Mafikizolo, Mlindo The Vocalist, Msaki, and many more.

Meanwhile, the pre-show stage will feature artists such as 25K, Blxckie, DBN Gogo, Dlala Thukzin, and Vinny Da Vinci, ensuring a full-day music experience.

With Davido’s inclusion, the Semenya tribute, and a lineup of Africa’s finest, Scorpion Kings Live is set to become the biggest Amapiano and African music festival in South African history, celebrating artistry across generations.
