Saheed Osupa dismissed the prophecy during a live performance in Lagos on Sunday, describing Alfa Olopa Meta as a “fake Alfa and prophet” and warning that anyone wishing him harm would face consequences.

“Fake Alpha and prophet, please don’t wish me dead. Everyone who wishes me dead will die in my place,” Saheed Osupa told the audience.

Saheed Osupa added that hostile intentions, whether from friends, rivals, or strangers, would not go unanswered.

“Close enemies, unknown enemies, enemies of my career, and the ones in my neighbourhood, better don’t wish me dead, or you would die before me,” the musician said.

The forceful response drew loud reactions from the crowd, many of whom applauded and voiced support for the singer.

Saheed Osupa remains one of the most influential figures in Fuji music, with a career spanning several decades and a loyal fan base across Nigeria and the diaspora.
