Judikay pregnancy loss revealed as gospel singer shares emotional story of losing her sixth pregnancy and the pain she endured

Nigerian gospel singer Judith Kanayo-Opara, popularly known as Judikay, has shared an emotional account of losing her sixth pregnancy, describing the experience as deeply painful and devastating.

The singer disclosed the ordeal in a video posted on Instagram, explaining that the incident occurred in February 2025 when she was more than three months pregnant.

According to her, the first signs appeared while she was going about her daily activities, beginning with mild cramps which she initially dismissed. However, the situation quickly worsened when she noticed bleeding that persisted and intensified.

Judikay said she was later taken to the hospital, where doctors confirmed a missed miscarriage and performed a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure.

She revealed that the emotional toll of the loss was severe, adding that the nights were particularly difficult as she often woke up in pain and distress while struggling to process her grief.

“In February 2025, I experienced a pain that almost crushed me,” she said. “I was devastated because I understood what that meant automatically.”

The singer further disclosed that this was the sixth time she had suffered such a loss, a reality she described as overwhelming and emotionally exhausting.

Judikay, who has often spoken about her faith, expressed her anguish during the period, revealing moments of deep emotional struggle.

The gospel artiste, who is married to Anselm Opara, has previously welcomed a son with her husband, whom she married in November 2020.
