Funke Akindele Sponsors Protégé Juicyjeff to London Film Academy

Funke Akindele Juicyjeff sponsorship has enabled the content creator to begin studies at the London Film Academy, he announced after arriving in the UK

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has sponsored her protégé, Jeffrey Oboh-Oshioke, popularly known as Juicyjeff, for a study programme at the London Film Academy.

Juicyjeff shared the news with his followers on Instagram on Tuesday after arriving in the United Kingdom. He regularly collaborates with Akindele on her film projects and is known for documenting behind-the-scenes work and producing mobile video content.

Expressing gratitude, he described the opportunity as one he would never take for granted. “My mummy, @funkejenifaakindele, out of her incredible generosity and genuine belief in me, has given me an opportunity I will never take for granted,” he wrote.

He said Akindele had helped turn a shared idea that once seemed like a dream into a reality he could now experience.

The trip, he added, marked the start of a new chapter in his career. “This is not just another trip. It’s a new chapter, a new frame and definitely a bigger production!”

Juicyjeff also posted images and footage of his journey from Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos to Gatwick Airport in London.

The sponsorship continues Akindele’s pattern of supporting emerging talents in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
