Destalker confirms marriage divorce in new interview, stressing that happiness is not tied to marriage and calling his separation a result of irreconcilable differences

Popular Nigerian comedian Destalker has publicly addressed his personal life for the first time, as Destalker confirms marriage divorce during a candid interview with content creator Timi Agbaje.

In the interview, the comedian disclosed that although he was once married, the relationship has since ended. He added that his happiness is not dependent on his marital status.

“I am happy, I’ve a happy home. I was married but not anymore. Marriage is not a criteria for a happy home,” Destalker stated.

When asked why the marriage ended, he cited irreconcilable differences and clarified that the relationship lasted three years. He also revealed that they had only dated for six months before tying the knot.

According to Destalker, the dynamics of marriage and its aftermath are different for men and women. “That’s the difference between a man and a woman. I can decide to remarry next week Friday or Saturday. But a woman can’t. It’s a man’s decision for marriage,” he said.

While Destalker confirms marriage divorce, he also made it clear that he is not currently interested in love or any romantic relationships. He noted that marriage, in his view, is more beneficial to women than it is to men.

His remarks have sparked conversations online about gender roles, personal fulfilment, and societal expectations surrounding marriage.
